Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information, to be at least 16 years old, and to let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

When using Gainzz, you agree not to:

• Break the law, infringe others' rights, or post content that is harassing, hateful, abusive, or otherwise harmful.
• Impersonate others, harvest data, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you aren't authorized to use, or interfere with the security or availability of the service.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the app, or use automated means to abuse it.

Your content

You own the content you create on Gainzz — your workouts, routines, measurements, and notes. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the service and to show it to the people you choose to share it with. You're responsible for the content you post and for having the right to share it.

Subscriptions and billing

Gainzz has two tiers, and we advertise the first one as free forever. That phrase describes what the free tier is — not a trial, no expiry date, no card — and our intention to keep it that way. It is not a promise that the tier can never change. What follows is what it covers today, and what notice you get if that ever changes.

The free tier costs nothing, has no time limit, is not a trial, and never asks for a payment method. It covers the core tracker: unlimited workout logging, routines, folders and supersets, your full workout history, the exercise library with its demonstration videos, PR detection while you train, the social feed and profiles, and offline use. We have no plans to charge for any of it.

Gainzz Pro is everything else, and it is not covered by “free forever.” It is an optional auto-renewing subscription — $4.99/month or $39.99/year — covering the analytics: progress analytics and streaks, strength trends and estimated 1RM, the PR timeline, muscle balance, bodyweight trends, and the season review. The current split between the two tiers is listed in full on our pricing page. Web purchases are processed by Stripe; purchases made in the iOS app are in-app purchases processed by Apple and also subject to Apple's terms.

• What sits in each tier: as the app grows we may add new features to either tier, and we may move a feature from Pro into the free tier at any time. We may also change what the free tier includes. If we ever remove something from it, or start charging for part of it, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand so you can decide what to do — and your training data stays yours either way: you can download your full history from Settings at any time, on the web or in the app, before or after such a change.
• Auto-renewal: Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel any time — on the web via Manage billing in Settings, on iOS in your App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep Pro access until then.
• Refunds (web): if it's your first Gainzz Pro purchase, we'll refund it in full within 14 days on request. Beyond that, we don't prorate refunds for partial periods except where the law requires. If you're an EU or UK consumer, starting the subscription means you request immediate access and acknowledge that this limits the 14-day withdrawal right to the extent permitted — your statutory rights are otherwise unaffected.
• Refunds (App Store): purchases billed by Apple are refunded by Apple under Apple's policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects you. You can cancel before it applies; continuing your subscription after it takes effect means you accept the new price.
• Taxes: prices may not include taxes; where applicable, tax is added at checkout.
• Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, the payment provider retries for a while; if it still fails, your Pro access may be downgraded until payment succeeds.
• Account deletion: deleting your account stops future renewals of subscriptions billed through Stripe. Subscriptions billed through Apple must be canceled separately in your App Store settings, or they may keep renewing.

Moderation and suspension

To keep Gainzz safe, we may review reported content and take action — including removing content, limiting features, or suspending or terminating accounts — where we believe these Terms have been violated or where required to protect users or the service. Where reasonable, we'll aim to be fair and proportionate. You may stop using Gainzz and delete your account at any time from your in-app Settings.

Health disclaimer

Gainzz is a tracking tool, not medical or fitness advice. Train within your limits and consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program. You're responsible for your own health and safety.

Disclaimer of warranties

Gainzz is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will always be available or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gainzz and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Gainzz after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are a contract between you and Gainzz, operated by its individual owner as a sole proprietorship based in California, USA. They are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be handled in the courts located in California. If you use Gainzz as a consumer, you keep any protections that the mandatory laws of your country of residence grant you.
